Inclusion Cayman

Group Of Smiling Children

As an advocacy organization, we support families and individuals

with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Mission

Inclusion Cayman is an independent, impartial non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Together, we share a vision of meaningful family life and community inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Values

As an advocacy organization, we support families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their desire to be fully included in community life.  Inclusion happens when the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities unfold no differently; immersed together with their non-disabled peers in the same pathways and experience of life common to us all.

Inclusive Community Life

Testimonials

Here’s what our parents, educators, members and community organizations had to say about our involvement.

  • Footsteps

We have felt thoroughly supported by Inclusion Cayman and their team whilst navigating the opening of our new inclusive primary school in Grand Cayman. Their wealth of knowledge and support has been very much appreciated and we feel confident that we will be able to implement some of the practices and strategies that they have introduced to our staff, in order to create a truly inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • India Austin

I think it is important that I have access to inclusive opportunities like employment because I like knowing that there is someone there that wants me, who is teaching new skills and who gives me the opportunity to feel belonging and independence. Also, that I am working towards a career that interests and inspires me. I enjoy going to work! It is reassuring having someone from Inclusion Cayman supporting me and helping guide me in my part time job. It is because of them that I feel I can contribute and be an equal.

  • Charlotte Lewis, Girlguiding Cayman Islands

Inclusion Cayman have been so supportive. They have provided training, specifically for the communication tools that the girls use. They’ve been in contact regularly to make sure that everything is going well, from our point of view but also from the girls’ point of view. It’s been great to challenge ourselves on inclusivity and it has made us think about the activities we’re doing each week to make sure we’re always thinking about it working for everybody.
